DIRECTIONS TO CUDDEBACK DRY LAKEBED FROM L.A.

HOFFMAN RD./NORTH ROAD ENTRANCE

            DIRECTIONS TO CUDDEBACK NORTH ROAD ENTRANCE:

•  From the 405 Freeway

• Take the 405 Freeway NORTH to the 5 Freeway NORTH; 

• Continue on the 5 Freeway NORTH for approximately 2 miles to the 14 Freeway NORTH;

• Take the 14 Freeway NORTH for approximately 67 miles to Mojave. 

• From Mojave continue on the 14 Freeway NORTH 18 miles. 

• (See Bonk’s Jawbone Canyon Store on left.)  Continue 1.6 miles. 

• Turn RIGHT onto Randsburg/Red Rock Road.  (The sign says “Randsburg 22, Johannesburg 23.”)

• Continue 12.4 miles to the “Y” in the road.  Bear LEFT at the “Y.” 

• Continue 8.4 miles to the intersection of Highway 395.

• Turn RIGHT onto route 395 SOUTH.  Continue 10 miles, passing Atolia Mining Site on left.  

• Turn LEFT onto Hoffman Rd.  Hoffman Rd. is unmarked,

• but just past it is Emergency Call Box #395-692

• Take Hoffman Rd. for 2.7 miles.  Bear LEFT at curve and continue for approx. 6 miles to lakebed. 

            DIRECTIONS TO RIDGECREST

•             From Cuddeback Dry Lake Bed

• ·           Take the dirt road back to Highway 395.

• ·           Turn RIGHT onto Highway 395 NORTH. 

•             Continue  for approximately 20 miles to the Route 395 Business Exit to Ridgecrest. 

• ·           Turn RIGHT onto Route 395 Business, also known as China Lake Blvd. 

•             (The sign says “Ridgecrest 8, China Lake NAWS 10.”)

• ·           Continue NORTH on 395 Business/China Lake Blvd. for approximately 8 miles

•            To downtown Ridgecrest.
